Official Call for the Barbara Petchenik Competition 2019

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Annexed to this message you can find all the documents related to the
organization of the next Barbara Petchenik Competition:

- Rules for the competition 2019 (bpcrules2019.pdf)
- Parental permission needed for the participation in the competition
(ICA Parent permission-English.rtf)
- An optional form to be filled with the data of authors (Data_of_author_form.pdf)
- Letter of Invitation written by ICA President Menno_Jan Kraak for all the national committees (MJ-Invitation ICA BPC2019.pdf)

All the documents can be also found on the website of our commission (http://lazarus.elte.hu/ccc/ccc.htm),on the
ICA website (http://icaci.org/petchenik/), as well as on our Facebook profile (https://www.facebook.com/icaccc/). On the websites and profile you can also find two shorter versions of the rules, one containing only the sections for national organizers and other one for teachers and parents (bpcrules2019_for_national_coordinators.pdf, bpcrules2019_for_teachers_and_parents.pdf).

This year there are not significant changes for the participants in the competition. The only change is that by first time in the history of the competition, national coordinators will be invited to participate in an e-mail-based voting process to select the winner works in June 2019. By this reason it is very important that the names and e-mails of national coordinators should be sent by e-mail for the Chair and Vice-Chair of ICA Commission on Cartography and Children, otherwise we cannot ensure our direct contact for the invitation.

If you have any question, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,

Carla and Jesus
