New - MA Childhood, Youth and Social Policy

School of Social Sciences, Loughborough University, UK

We’re excited to announce this new interdisciplinary MA programme at Loughborough University, which may be of interest to colleagues on the listserv. We would be most grateful if you could circulate to any prospective students in your respective institutions or relevant networks.

The taught Masters programme is available full-time (one year) or part-time (typically two years) for October 2019 entry. More details on entry requirements, modules and assessment can be found here: https://www.lboro.ac.uk/study/postgraduate/masters-degrees/a-z/childhood-youth-social-policy/

Overall, the MA explores children and young people’s lives in diverse contexts and related social policy debates. It critically examines current advanced research on children, young people and families with reference to relevant theories and concepts in human geography and the wider social sciences. This programme will also help develop skills in a range of research methods, especially those relevant to the study of childhood and youth and attentive to young people’s ‘voice’. The MA Childhood, Youth and Social Policy demonstrates the role of social policy research in shaping wider policy processes and professional practice.
